Wholely Seychellois owned, TUNA EXPORTERS SEYCHELLES (TEXS) export the highest quality FRESH & FROZEN TUNA (HACCP compliant) which are distributed to the European markets, the United States, United Kingdom, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and many countries around the world. At TUNA-EX we source, inspect, tranship and process TUNA for a variety of clients.
In excess of two hundred thousand (200,000) tons of fish are landed in Port Victoria annually making it one of the largest fishing ports in the world. Of the fish landed at. Port Victoria, inety-nine percent (99%) are of the pelagic variety of which approximately ninety-five percent (95%) are TUNA.
Located in Port Victoria is the largest tuna canning plant in the world which employs more than two thousand four hundred people. Tuna fishing, processing, transshipment and associated services and logistics represent the second pillar of the Seychelles economy.
ETHOS
The TEXS ETHOS is founded on the conservation of fish populations and their habitats and marine ecosystems and is executed through the support of provisions that requires one to catch less fish and get the same or more return on the lesser catches. This will ensure sustainable exploitation or uses of Seychelles' fish resources for the benefit of our and future generations.
